AEW has revealed exactly what will close the September 12 episode of Collision, and Tony Khan made the announcement himself during a live video on Twitter before the show.
Khan confirmed that “The Butcher” Battle Royal will serve as the main event, with 12 AEW wrestlers competing in the match. The winner will earn the right to donate $100,000 to charity in the name of Andy Williams. That puts the tribute to Williams in the final spot of the night, with AEW ending Collision on a match built entirely around honoring “The Butcher.”
Khan also used the live stream to reveal more of tonight’s card. Mina Shirakawa will face Queen Aminata, with Mercedes Moné joining commentary for the match. Jon Moxley will also take on “Speedball” Mike Bailey in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match.
The closing match, though, is locked in — Collision will end with “The Butcher” Battle Royal and a $100,000 charitable donation hanging in the balance.
