WWE’s week in Mexico ended with packed arenas, deafening crowds and one of the hottest stretches the company has had all year. It also ended with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch walking straight into absolute chaos once they got to the airport.
New footage that’s making the rounds online shows both stars getting mobbed by fans while trying to make their way through the terminal. Rollins didn’t stick around for very long. As more and more people started closing in, he looked like he decided he’d seen enough and took off, weaving his way through the airport.
Becky’s situation was a lot messier. Instead of finding a way out, “The Man” ended up completely surrounded. Fans were pressing in from every direction, sticking phones and cameras right in her face as they tried to get as close as possible. It got so crowded that there wasn’t really any room for her to move.
That’s when security had to step in. The footage shows Becky’s security team physically getting between her and the crowd, creating a path so she could actually keep walking while people continued trying to push closer around them.
It’s a pretty wild ending to what had otherwise been an incredible week for WWE in Mexico. The company packed Arena CDMX for SmackDown, TripleManía 34 and RAW, and the fans inside the building were a huge part of why those shows felt so special. The airport, though, was a completely different story.
Do you think fans crossed the line during this airport encounter, or is this something top WWE stars simply have to deal with? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
