Scott Steiner’s son Brock Rechsteiner has been suspended for the first six games of the 2026 NFL season, putting the New Orleans Saints wide receiver on the shelf before the regular season even begins.
The NFL wire confirmed the punishment, while NFL insider Adam Schefter shared when the suspension will officially take effect. Rechsteiner can still practice, train and play in preseason games before the ban begins once teams cut their rosters down to 53 players.
“Saints wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner has been suspended for the first six games of the 2026 season. He is eligible to participate in all preseason activities, including games. His suspension will take effect when rosters are reduced to 53 players.”
The NFL has not revealed what led to the six-game suspension. There is currently no public explanation tying the punishment to a specific league policy, conduct issue or incident.
Rechsteiner is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, one-half of the legendary Steiner Brothers. He is also the cousin of current WWE star Bron Breakker, making him part of one of professional wrestling’s most famous families.
The timing could not be worse for Rechsteiner as he fights to earn a meaningful role in the Saints’ offense. He will still have the preseason to prove himself, but missing six regular-season games puts him in a tough spot before the year even gets rolling.
