Samoa Joe isn’t ruling out an AEW return before All In. With the biggest event on AEW’s calendar just weeks away, fans have been wondering whether Joe’s Hollywood schedule would keep him away from Wembley. Now, the former AEW World Champion has finally addressed where things stand—and it sounds like the door is still open.
Speaking with Joel Pearl, Joe was asked directly whether he’ll be back in time for AEW All In London on August 30. Rather than confirming he’ll miss the show, Joe revealed that filming on Twisted Metal is nearly finished, leaving the possibility of an appearance very much alive.
“Time will tell. We’ll see. We’re close to the end of production out here for Twisted Metal. We’ll see how the dice rolls.”
That’s a much more optimistic update than many fans expected. Joe stepped away from AEW television earlier this summer after telling The Opps that “Hollywood’s ringing” and that he’d be gone for several months while pursuing another acting project. Shortly afterwards, it was reported that his hiatus was tied to filming Season 3 of Peacock’s Twisted Metal in Canada, where Joe reprises his role in the hit series.
With production entering its final stretch, Joe stopped short of making any promises, but he also didn’t close the door on appearing at All In. Instead, he made it clear that everything depends on how filming wraps up over the coming weeks.
AEW has yet to announce whether Joe will be part of the All In card, but his comments certainly leave the possibility alive. If Twisted Metal finishes production on schedule, one of AEW’s biggest stars could find himself back in time for the company’s biggest show of the year.
