Ryback is weighing in after Brock Lesnar’s win over Oba Femi at WWE Clash in Italy led to tons of backlash online, and the Big Guy wants people to just enjoy the show instead of complaining.
After Lesnar defeated Femi at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, several fans criticized WWE’s decision to have The Beast beat The Ruler. The reaction was especially strong because Femi had already beaten Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, making Clash in Italy the second match in their feud.
Ryback took to Instagram to defend the decision and push back against the outrage. He argued that fans should stop getting too caught up in online rumors and speculation, comparing it to people spoiling movies or television shows before letting the story unfold.
“Brock Lesnar defeated Oba Femi in the rematch at Clash in Italy. It’s a good reminder not to get too caught up in online rumors, innuendo, and people creating stories for clicks and engagement. If you didn’t want your favorite movie or television series spoiled, you’d simply sit back, watch, and enjoy the experience as it unfolds.”
Ryback then said wrestling fans would be better off enjoying the product instead of getting consumed by constant social media reactions and misinformation.
“I truly believe pro wrestling fans would benefit from doing the same. Enjoy the shows. Enjoy the stories. Don’t get consumed by the nonstop social media speculation and misinformation that often surrounds everything.”
He also made the case that if Lesnar’s match with Femi ends up being one of his final big opponents, that role could actually help Femi in the long run. Ryback pointed out that Lesnar has always been selective about who he works with and who he helps elevate.
“If this was truly Brock Lesnar’s final opponent, being selected for that role is an incredibly rare opportunity. Brock has always been very selective about who he steps into the ring with and who he helps elevate. That kind of spotlight can propel Oba Femi to new heights moving forward.”
Ryback then simply told fans to relax and enjoy the ride instead of choosing negativity and complaining about the loss. He said complaining is a choice, and too many people are holding themselves back by choosing negativity over enjoyment
“Sit back. Relax. Enjoy the ride. Happiness is a choice. Complaining is a choice. Too many people are holding themselves back by choosing negativity over enjoyment. And that’s the last bite. Feed Me More!”
The match itself was built like a match between two monsters. Lesnar hit multiple F5s, locked in a Kimura, and later drove Femi through the announce table with another F5. Femi still fought back, but Lesnar eventually countered Fall From Grace into one more F5 to get the win.
The result evened the feud after Femi’s WrestleMania 42 victory over Lesnar. While many fans felt the loss hurt Femi’s momentum, Ryback clearly believes the bigger picture could work in Femi’s favor if WWE follows through properly.
Whether fans agree with him or not, Ryback’s response gives another side to the backlash. WWE now has a chance to prove that Lesnar’s win was part of a longer story rather than a setback for one of its fastest-rising stars.
