Brock Lesnar picked up a massive win over Oba Femi at WWE Clash in Italy, but plenty of fans were not happy with how things played out.

After Lesnar defeated Femi at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, several fans took to Twitter to criticize WWE’s decision to have The Beast beat one of the Ruler. The reaction was especially strong because Femi had already beaten Lesnar at WrestleMania, making Clash in Italy the second chapter in their feud. One fan argued that WWE should have protected Femi more, even in defeat.

“You ruined yet another up and coming beast. You should’ve had Brock throw everything at him and just collapse being unable to continue.”

Another fan was far more direct, blaming Triple H for the finish: “F*** you triple h you just buried oba femi you fucking idiot” Others were already looking ahead and hoping WWE gives Femi the win if the company books a third match between the two: “Oba better win the rubber match istg”

Another fan claimed the loss damaged Femi’s momentum and criticized the company’s recent endings: “Well done wwe killed all aura and momentum oba had 3 for 3 dogs**t endings its like they want to lose fans.” The frustration continued as another fan rejected the idea that Femi still looked strong just because it took several F5s to put him away.

“I don’t want to hear ‘well it took 7 F5s. He still looks strong.’ Triple H has no idea how to book or make new stars. You don’t beat them months into their debut and expect people to still see them as stars. What a load of shit. @TripleH booking is dire”

The match itself was built like a war between two monsters. Lesnar hit multiple F5s early, locked in a Kimura, and later drove Femi through the announce table with another F5. Femi still fought back, but Lesnar eventually countered Fall From Grace into one more F5 to get the win.

The result evened the feud after Femi’s previous win over Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. While WWE may be setting up a third match, the immediate reaction shows that many fans believe Femi should not have taken the loss so soon into his rise.

WWE clearly gave Oba Femi a monster-level fight against Brock Lesnar, but the backlash shows some fans believe the company risked cooling off one of its strongest new acts. Now, it remains to be seen whether WWE gives Femi a chance to settle the score in a rubber match.
