RVD has been around plenty of stars during his career, but one Pamela Anderson memory still has him looking back like he dropped the ball.

During his One of a Kind podcast, RVD was asked about celebrities he ran into who may have surprised him as wrestling fans. That led him to bring up his appearance on Pamela Anderson’s show, where he now admits he should have handled himself a lot better. RVD said he should have been more thankful to Anderson for having him on the show, especially because she may have had a hand in getting him there in the first place.

“I’ve talked about when I was on Pam Anderson’s show and I should have thanked her for having me on and been kissing her ass, at least thankful and grateful. Instead, I didn’t really talk to her.”

He recalled Anderson introducing herself in a funny way, saying his name wrong as “Rob Von,” but RVD said the bigger issue was his own attitude at the time. Looking back now, RVD said he knows he should have acted differently.

“She introduced herself and she was like, well, she kind of did by saying my name. She said, Rob Von.”

“Looking back at it, my head was up my ass and I should have been a lot cooler to her.”

RVD also admitted he didn’t think through how much pull Anderson likely had behind the scenes. Since she was an executive producer, he said she may have been involved in bringing him onto the show in the first place.

“I never even thought like that at the moment. I didn’t even think about, you know, that as executive producer, she might have had a lot to do with even hiring the guest stars on there.”

He added that there was definitely enough reason for him to thank her, but in the moment, he viewed himself differently. RVD said that wasn’t really the case, because he was there as a guest spot, not just some random background extra.

“Definitely enough to thank her for. Instead, I was just thinking like, uh, she isn’t who I am. I’m just an extra on the set or something to her.”

“That’s kind of what I thought, which of course that’s not how it is when there’s a guest spot. That’s what it was.”

RVD has never been shy about calling himself out, and this was one of those moments. He wasn’t burying Pamela Anderson at all. He was burying his own younger mindset, admitting he should have shown more respect when the opportunity was right in front of him.

What do you think about RVD admitting he should have been cooler to Pamela Anderson? Do you think wrestlers sometimes realize years later how big certain moments really were? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
