Rusev isn’t shy about naming names, and when the topic turned to celebrity opponents, he wasted no time calling out one of the biggest figures in crossover combat sports.

During his appearance on TMZ Inside the Ring, Rusev was asked which celebrity he’d most like to face if given the opportunity. With celebrity boxing continuing to grow and fighters like Jake Paul stepping into the spotlight, the question naturally led to one specific name — and Rusev didn’t hesitate to answer.

After hearing the question, Rusev made it clear that Jake Paul is the one celebrity he’d most like to step into the ring with. He didn’t frame it as a fantasy matchup either — he spoke like it was a fight he fully believes he’d dominate.

“Jake Paul. This guy has no chance against me, right? I mean kudos to him, he lost 400 lb. Good for him, you know, but that still doesn't qualify you to be in the ring with me.”

Rusev continued by pointing out the massive size difference between himself and Paul, suggesting that the physical mismatch alone would make the fight short-lived. He made it clear that while Paul has gained attention in boxing circles, that doesn’t mean he belongs anywhere near a WWE-caliber powerhouse.

“That speedy guy, he's what? 5'7, 140 lb. What are we doing here?”

Celebrity boxing has become one of the most talked-about crossover trends in recent years, with fighters from outside traditional boxing stepping into high-profile matches. Names like Jake Paul have drawn massive audiences, and Rusev inserting himself into that conversation adds another layer to the growing mix of wrestling and combat sports personalities crossing paths.

With Jake Paul continuing to headline major events and WWE stars always looking for crossover moments, the idea of personalities from both worlds colliding is something fans continue to talk about.
