AEW Redemption is slowly coming into focus, and now a clear front runner has emerged for where the company’s newest pay-per-view could land.

As previously reported, AEW planned to introduce a new PPV between Forbidden Door and All In this year. That show was later revealed as AEW Redemption, which is currently expected to take place sometime in July as AEW continues expanding its event calendar.

Now, talk within AEW circles suggests that Canada is firmly in the mix to host the show, with Montreal standing out as the leading candidate among those familiar with the discussions.

According to Fightful Select, Montreal has emerged as the heavy favorite internally, making it the front runner to land AEW Redemption. While the location has not been officially confirmed, the belief backstage is that an announcement revealing the host city could arrive within the next few weeks.

AEW has increasingly leaned into major destination-style events, especially outside of the United States. Hosting Redemption in Canada would continue that trend and position the new pay-per-view as a key stop between Forbidden Door and All In, two of the company’s biggest annual shows.

With Montreal now identified as the front runner, attention will likely turn to when AEW makes the announcement official and how the company plans to position Redemption within its growing slate of pay-per-view events.

Do you think Montreal should host AEW Redemption, or would you rather see AEW bring the event to another city? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
