Roxanne Perez is already thinking about what could happen if she gets her hands on the Money in the Bank briefcase, but anyone expecting her to turn on Liv Morgan may be waiting a long time. Perez made it clear that cashing in on her Judgment Day sister is not part of the plan.
WWE Money in the Bank is set for October 10 in New Orleans, with qualifiers for both the men’s and women’s ladder matches already underway. That means the possibility of Perez walking away with the briefcase is very real, and that naturally raises one question — what happens if Liv Morgan is holding championship gold?
While speaking to Compas On The Beat, Perez was asked directly about potentially cashing in on Morgan. She immediately pushed back on the idea and said her loyalty to both Liv and Raquel Rodriguez runs deeper than that.
“You know, I think I like my sisters, you know? You know, I really love my sisters. So I wouldn’t ever do anything to stab them in the back. That’s not me.”
Perez then brought up her own history of being betrayed, specifically pointing to what happened between her and Cora Jade, who now goes by Elayna Black. That experience clearly stuck with her, and Perez said it is one reason she takes accusations about having hidden motives so personally.
“I’ve been stabbed in the back by a well-known person named Cora Jade, now Elayna Black, and that did stick with me.”
Perez said people keep assuming she has some kind of plan behind the scenes, but from her perspective, she has spent the last year and a half doing everything possible to prove herself to Judgment Day.
“So I think everybody tries to say that, like, I have some… some underlying motives, and I think all I’ve ever done is try to prove myself to the Judgment Day, try to prove to them that I will be there through thick and thin, that I would do anything that the Judgment Day needs me to, and I think I proved that the last year and a half.”
Perez also made it clear that the constant speculation about her eventually turning on Liv or Raquel gets under her skin because she does not see herself as someone who betrays her friends.
“So it kind of makes me upset when people think that I’m just gonna stab my friends in the back, because I don’t do that.”
Money in the Bank has always been built around paranoia, bad timing and someone getting stabbed in the back when they least expect it, so Perez saying this now is only going to make fans watch her even closer. She says Liv Morgan has nothing to worry about, but if Perez ends up holding that briefcase, every championship moment involving Judgment Day is going to come with a little extra tension.
