Roxanne Perez believes The Judgment Day has already done enough to be called the greatest faction in wrestling history, and she doesn’t seem interested in hearing arguments otherwise.
During an appearance on NotSam Wrestling Live, Perez addressed the constant speculation that The Judgment Day is eventually going to fall apart. The faction has survived tension, changing members and different leadership over the years, but Perez said disagreements don’t mean the group is finished. She compared The Judgment Day to a real family, where people can fight with each other and still have each other’s backs when it matters.
“Everybody here knows families fight, right? Brothers, sisters, parents, kids, we all fight, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t stick by each other when we need each other. So, I can see why people would think, ‘Oh, they’re going to break up. Oh, there’s tension in the group.’ Obviously, there’s tension, but we’re family, and a win for one is a win for all.”
The conversation then shifted to what has allowed The Judgment Day to survive for so long. The group has changed dramatically since its original formation, with members coming and going while the faction continued finding ways to remain part of major WWE storylines. Perez agreed that constantly evolving is exactly why she puts The Judgment Day above every other faction.
“I think that’s exactly why we are the greatest faction of all time because, like you said, we never stop evolving. We never stop getting better. We never stop having the fans ask, ‘What’s next? Why? What’s going to happen?’ They just — they love us. They hate us. They hate us, but they love us.”
Perez also believes the people who claim they can’t stand The Judgment Day are still invested enough to keep watching.
“You guys just love to hate us.”
The Judgment Day has survived roster changes, betrayals and plenty of internal problems without disappearing from WWE television. Perez sees that ability to reinvent the group as proof that they’ve earned a spot above every faction that came before them.
