Roman Reigns didn’t ignore Oba Femi’s callout after WrestleMania 42 — he answered it directly, right in front of the crowd.
While speaking during the WrestleMania 42 post-show, Reigns reacted after fans started chanting “Oba’s gonna kill you!” during his panel, following Femi’s earlier callout after defeating Brock Lesnar. Reigns didn’t dodge the moment. Instead, he turned the chant into a direct message to Femi, questioning whether the Ruler is ready for that level.
“Oba, you’re gonna kill me? See, you still seem a little fresh in this business.”
He acknowledged what Femi accomplished at WrestleMania after beating Brock Lesnar, but made it clear that one big win doesn’t put him on the same level just yet. Reigns then laid out what he believes is the real test — longevity and consistency — not just one breakout moment.
“You did a big thing tonight—but I’ve done that many times, and I’ve done it with a title on the line. I took it, I defended it. Let’s see how you do through the summer—and then we’ll see if you can step up to the greatest of all time.”
The response comes after Femi used his post-match moment to aim straight at Reigns, showing that he sees himself as the next challenger following his massive win over Lesnar.
Bottom line — Reigns isn’t shutting the door, but he’s not rushing to crown a new contender either. For now, he’s making it clear that Femi has more to prove before stepping into that spotlight.
