Tony Khan trying to buy WWE once sounded like a wild “what if” — but now Ric Flair thinks it could actually happen.

Flair spoke on The Ariel Helwani Show and didn’t hold back when talking about Khan’s financial power and long-term potential in the wrestling business. Instead of treating the past bid as a one-off moment, Flair made it clear he sees it as something that could come back around. He started by praising Khan personally, making it clear this wasn’t just about money — but also about how he views him as a figure in the industry.

“Tony Khan is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life.”

From there, Flair took it a step further and openly suggested that buying WWE isn’t out of the question for Khan — not now, not ever.

“You know what? I wouldn’t be surprised—because he has the money to do it—if he doesn’t buy WWE one day.”

The WWE Hall of Famer then pointed directly to the financial backing behind Khan, bringing up his father, Shad Khan and the scale of their wealth compared to WWE’s valuation.

“The Khan family’s got more money than God, you know that, right? A billion price on WWE is nothing to Shad Khan.”

This completely reframes the conversation around Khan’s previous attempt to buy WWE during the 2023 sale process. What once looked like a bold but unsuccessful move is now being talked about as something that could realistically happen down the line — at least in Flair’s eyes. Bottom line — Flair isn’t just revisiting history here. He’s putting the idea back on the table and saying the door might not be closed at all.

If Tony Khan ever did pull that off, how different do you think WWE would look today — or is that a move that should never happen? Let us know your thoughts.
