WWE Clash in Italy took place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. The night was full of big matches, and many of them were for a title. The Women’s Championship took center stage, and fans couldn’t wait to see what was next.
The rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill picked back up after WrestleMania 42. On Night 2 of the event, Ripley defeated Cargill to win the WWE Women’s Championship despite interference from B-Fab and Michin. A few weeks later on SmackDown, Cargill returned and attacked Ripley during a six-woman tag team match, costing Ripley’s team the victory before Ripley got overwhelmed by Cargill and her allies after the match.
Things escalated on the May 15 episode of SmackDown when Cargill officially challenged Ripley to a rematch for the title at Clash in Italy. Ripley accepted the challenge the following week. The two have involved B-Fab and Michin in their feud, and they have been behind Jade Cargill the entire time. At Clash in Italy, this WrestleMania rematch finally went down.
Fans were very much behind Rhea Ripley as they chanted “Mami,” and the match received a big match feel with the ring introductions from Alicia Taylor. Although Ripley was the fan favorite, Jade Cargill was able to put a big stop to her momentum early on.
Jade Cargill kept control of the match for a bit after that, as Rhea Ripley sold everything that The Storm threw at her. Fans in Italy chanted on Rhea Ripley’s side, but it didn’t help The Eradicator. Eventually, Ripley was able to come back with a couple of high-risk moves, including a missile dropkick from the top rope, for a near fall. The two kept going after that and traded moves a few times as fans cheered on.
Rhea Ripley got out of a Jaded, tried for a Riptide, but then Cargill nailed a DDT to counter for a two count. Cargill hit a sit-down powerbomb for another near fall before the two started fighting for position on the top rope, which ended in Rhea nailing a superplex for a two count. These two took each other to their limits just as B-Fab and Michin made their way down to the ring.
Cargill hit a pump kick after that, but Ripley reversed out of a Jaded to nail a Ripe Tide, but Michin got Cargill’s foot on the ropes. The referee saw this, and he kicked them out. Then Charlotte Flair showed up to nail a crossbody dive on them. Cargill hit a Jaded after that, but Flair put Rhea’s foot on the bottom rope.
It didn’t take long for Rhea Ripley to hit another Riptide for the win. Rhea Ripley is still WWE Women’s Champion, and it’s anyone’s guess who will change that. She certainly stood tall in Italy.
