Rhea Ripley still isn’t giving fans a return date, but she just made one hell of a surprise appearance while recovering from knee surgery. This time, Mami wasn’t anywhere near a WWE ring — she was getting a huge welcome onstage at a Motionless in White concert.
Ripley made a surprise appearance during the band’s latest show, coming onto the stage full of energy as the crowd cheered her on. Motionless in White vocalist Chris “Motionless” Cerulli then stopped to give Ripley her flowers in front of everyone.
Cerulli thanked Ripley not only for supporting Motionless in White but for helping bring more attention to rock and metal around the world. He made it pretty damn clear how much the band appreciates what she has done for the scene.
“Rhea, we love her so f****** much. Thank you for being here and being with us. Thank you for everything you have done, not just for Motionless in White, but for metal, rock, all the way around the world.”
Cerulli wasn’t done hyping her up either. He called Ripley a “frontrunner” and told the audience to make some noise for the WWE star before thanking her for coming out.
“It’s because of you we keep on doing this s***. You’re a fu****** frontrunner. I need you guys to celebrate this and thank Rhea Ripley.”
Ripley then hugged Cerulli before leaving him to get back to business. Motionless in White followed the moment by performing “Fight Like Hell,” with Cerulli dedicating the song to Ripley as she made her way offstage.
The appearance is especially nice to see considering Ripley is still working her way back from meniscus surgery. Back on September 23, footage of her walking without the large knee brace she had previously been wearing got fans excited about a possible WWE comeback, but Ripley immediately warned everyone not to get ahead of themselves.
“Walking and wrestling are very different 😅 learnt how to walk last week so don’t get too excited, stay patient with me.”
Ripley had undergone surgery in August and was previously seen using crutches and wearing a heavy knee brace. WWE hasn’t put a return date on her, and Ripley herself made it clear that simply being able to walk again didn’t mean she was anywhere close to wrestling.
There still wasn’t any wrestling involved on November 5, but Ripley certainly looked happy to be back in front of a loud crowd again. For one night, her comeback didn’t need a WWE entrance or a match — all it took was Motionless in White, a packed crowd and one very loud reminder of how much Mami means to the metal world.
