Reina Volcan may have disappeared from NXT television after making an impressive debut, but she hasn’t gone anywhere. After weeks away from WWE TV, Vulcan has finally addressed her absence and says she’s still putting in the work behind the scenes.
Volcan took to Twitter and acknowledged that she’s been “MIA” lately. She didn’t reveal exactly why WWE hasn’t brought her back to television, but made it clear that she’s still training and preparing for what she calls the “Volcán Era.” Volcan then made it pretty clear that she expects fans to see much more of her going forward.
“Been MIA but just know I’m still grinding. I’ll be getting back to your comments and messages this weekend. If you’re wondering, im getting ready for the Volcán Era 😎 are you?”
Her television absence stands out because Volcan appeared to get off to a strong start after debuting in WWE earlier this year. She joined the company in May after impressing officials with her presence and in-ring ability before eventually getting her first opportunity in front of an NXT crowd.
Volcan initially competed in an NXT dark match before making her televised debut on the July 21 episode. She defeated Skylar Raye in roughly three minutes, giving WWE fans their first proper look at what she could do.
That remains Volcan’s most recent NXT television appearance. She hasn’t stopped wrestling, though, as she has continued competing at NXT live events while remaining off weekly television. Volcan isn’t explaining the reason behind her absence just yet, but she certainly doesn’t sound like someone sitting around waiting for WWE to remember her. Whatever the “Volcán Era” turns out to be, she’s apparently already getting ready for it.
What do you think WWE has planned for Reina Volcan when she returns to NXT television? Let us know in the comments.
