Léi Yǐng Lee has been missing from TNA television for months, and now there’s finally an explanation for where she’s been. Despite the lengthy absence, fans apparently don’t need to start wondering whether she quietly left the company.

According to PWInside, Lee has been away from TNA because she took an extended trip back to China to visit her family. She reportedly hadn’t been back home in many years, so she was given an extended period away.

More importantly, Lee is still under contract with TNA as of this writing. So her disappearance from Impact isn’t being treated as another departure during a year that has already seen quite a few roster changes.

Lee hasn’t appeared on TNA television since her Knockouts World Championship program with Xia Brookside over the summer. The two had been feuding heading into Slammiversary, with their rivalry getting physical on Impact before their title match.

Brookside defeated Lee at Slammiversary on June 28 to capture the Knockouts World Championship. Lee then got her rematch on the July 1 Impact taping in Albany, where Brookside retained the title in a No Disqualification match, which ended up being Lee’s last TNA appearance before her extended absence.

It had already been a pretty eventful 2026 for Lee before she disappeared from TV. She entered the year as Knockouts World Champion and successfully defended the title against NXT’s Zaria at Genesis before eventually losing the championship during the spring.

Lee didn’t stay away from the belt for long either. She defeated Arianna Grace on the May 7 episode of Impact to regain the Knockouts World Championship, kicking off another run that eventually led into her feud with Brookside.

That makes her sudden disappearance after the Brookside program a lot easier to understand now. Lee wasn’t being quietly phased out of TNA — she simply headed home to spend some long-overdue time with her family, and she remains part of the roster.

When do you think TNA should bring her back to television, and what kind of storyline should she return with? Let us know what you think in the comments.
