Tatum Paxley’s SmackDown debut may not have happened by chance. After stealing the show during Friday night’s main event, a new report claims Charlotte Flair was the one who wanted the former NXT Women’s Champion standing beside her and Alexa Bliss.

According to False Finish, sources say Flair personally requested that WWE bring Paxley into the new group that debuted on the August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown. That makes Friday night’s ending look a little different.

Charlotte was fighting Jade Cargill when B-Fab and Michin jumped into the mix. Alexa Bliss walked out with Lily, the arena went dark, and when the lights came back, Paxley was already perched on the top rope. Seconds later, she came flying through the air and wiped out the Baddies.

With the numbers game finally even, Charlotte put Jade Cargill away to end the show, while Paxley stood tall alongside Flair and Bliss to close out her first night on the blue brand.

Whether this trio sticks together remains to be seen. But if this report is accurate, Paxley’s arrival wasn’t just WWE calling up an NXT star—it was a move Charlotte Flair pushed to make happen.
