Randy Orton’s SummerSlam return looked massive on WWE television, but alternate crowd footage revealed an even wilder detail that viewers at home never saw — his wife, Kim Orton, running right behind him through the arena.
Billi Bhatti of the Dirty Sheets Podcast was live inside U.S. Bank Stadium and captured Orton charging through the crowd before he hit Cody Rhodes with an RKO during the Undisputed WWE Championship match.
The footage showed Orton moving fast through the venue with WWE security right behind him. A few steps back, Kim Orton could clearly be seen running after her husband in camouflage pants as the entire scene unfolded.
That unexpected shot made the return even more memorable. WWE’s cameras focused on Orton reaching ringside and dropping Cody, but Bhatti’s angle showed the full sprint through the crowd and Kim doing her best to keep up.
Orton had not appeared since losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. He picked the biggest possible moment to come back, entering through the crowd after referee Charles Robinson went down. Orton then nailed Cody with an RKO, allowing CM Punk to hit another GTS and retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The television audience saw Orton’s attack and the finish. The alternate footage showed what happened seconds earlier, including security trailing Orton and Kim Orton running behind him through the packed stadium. Kim’s cameo turned an already chaotic return into one of the funniest unseen moments from SummerSlam Saturday.
