R-Truth’s planned concert in Dallas just got pushed off the calendar only days before he was supposed to hit the stage. The WWE star announced that his August 15 show at Trees nightclub will no longer happen as scheduled, blaming “uncontrollable circumstances” while making it clear the concert is being postponed — not canceled.

Truth broke the news himself on Twitter with a video, telling fans there was both good news and bad news. The bad news was obvious: anyone planning to see him perform in Dallas this week is going to have to wait.

“I got good news, and I got bad news. Bad news is the Dallas show on August 15th at Trees nightclub — it’s not going to happen. Good news is it’s not going to happen on the 15th. The date had to be pushed back. That’s still being determined.”

Truth didn’t get into exactly what happened behind the scenes, but he apologized for the sudden change and blamed circumstances outside of his control. He also tried to put a positive spin on the delay, saying it gives him more time to make the Texas show something bigger.

“Sorry for the inconvenience. Uncontrollable circumstances. But again, this allows me to really do this in a big way. I really want to do it right. I really want to make it a big deal in Texas.”

He then repeated that August 15 is officially off and promised fans he’ll announce the new date once everything is locked down.

“The Dallas, Texas show, August 15th, has been pushed back. It’s not happening the 15th, and I will keep y’all posted with the correct date. We’re gonna do this the right way. That’s what’s up.”

Truth also wrote alongside the video that the Dallas show “HAS BEEN Postponed until a later date” and apologized for the inconvenience. So for now, R-Truth’s Dallas concert is on hold with no new date announced. He hasn’t revealed exactly what forced the postponement, but he’s insisting the show is still happening and that he wants to make the eventual Texas date worth the wait.
