Damian Priest made it pretty clear he wants nothing to do with R-Truth anymore, but that didn’t stop Truth from remembering one important date. His birthday.
Instead of ignoring his former tag team partner, R-Truth took to Instagram on September 26 with a birthday post that came with an unmistakable punchline. Truth shared a photo of the two together, but covered Priest’s face with an eggplant emoji—a symbol widely used as a sexual innuendo and, in this case, an apparent way of calling Priest a “d**khead.” Truth captioned the post:
“Happy Birthday 🎊🎁🎉🎂🎈😂 @archerofinfamy”
The post comes less than two weeks after Priest turned on Truth following their unsuccessful challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championship. Days later, Priest took things even further by attacking Truth at the WWE Performance Center, telling him there were “no more buddies” and blaming him for keeping him away from championship gold.
Truth, however, doesn’t appear to be losing his sense of humor. Rather than firing back with an angry message, he went the comedic route, taking a playful—but definitely NSFW—shot at Priest on his birthday.
Whether Priest laughs it off or decides Truth has just given him another reason to settle the score remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure: even after their friendship imploded, Truth still found a way to get the last laugh.
