Pro Wrestling Tees is pushing back after rumors spread online claiming AEW had ended its partnership with the company and fired its merchandise design team.

The speculation started after a Reddit post circulated alleging that AEW was cutting ties with Pro Wrestling Tees and that several designers who worked on AEW merchandise had been laid off. The claims quickly gained traction among fans, raising questions about whether AEW was making a major shift in how its merchandise is handled.

Now, Fightful Select reports that Pro Wrestling Tees directly responded to the situation, disputing the claims that AEW had ended its business relationship with the company. After seeing the online rumors spread, Pro Wrestling Tees contacted Fightful to clarify what actually happened behind the scenes.

“The person who made the reddit post circulating has no knowledge of our business.”

The company admitted that some changes were made involving designers, but made it clear the situation was not as drastic as originally described.

“Nothing on that post is true except that we unfortunately told some of our contracted designers that we would not need them for as many AEW designs anymore.”

They also confirmed that not all designers were removed, stating that several remain under contract despite the reduction in work.

“Some of the AEW designers are still contracted.”

Most importantly, Pro Wrestling Tees shut down the biggest claim from the viral post — that the partnership between AEW and Pro Wrestling Tees had ended.

“Nothing has changed otherwise and we are still fulfilling merchandise for AEW.”

This response directly contradicts the earlier rumor that AEW had fully split from Pro Wrestling Tees. While some designers may see less AEW-related work moving forward, the core merchandise relationship between the two companies appears to remain intact.

The situation shows how quickly online speculation can spread, especially when it involves major companies and fan-favorite merchandise. For now, the message from Pro Wrestling Tees is clear — business with AEW is still ongoing.
