As previously reported, WWE added the “Lesnar leaves WWE” stipulation as a way to intrigue the Fatal 4-Way match at Summerslam and to capitalize off the Jon Jones vs. Lesnar speculation. The belief is that Lesnar is expected to retain the Universal Title and continue to defend it.
In regards to the next challenger after SummerSlam for the Universal Championship, Dave Meltzer indicated on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that Braun Strowman will be next in line for a one-on-one match against Lesnar at the WWE No Mercy event on September 24th.
