New details have emerged about PAC’s passing after a newly released police report provided a clearer picture of what happened in the hours before he was found dead in Illinois.
According to the New York Post, which obtained the Des Plaines Police Department incident report, officers found Satterley deceased inside a rental vehicle outside a CAVA restaurant on September 27. The report states they observed saliva on the front of his shirt and medication inside the vehicle after arriving at the scene. The type of medication was redacted from the released documents.
Police also searched Satterley’s pockets and backpack but reported finding nothing noteworthy. His cellphone, however, helped investigators determine where he had been headed before he died. One officer noted that Google Maps was still open on Satterley’s phone and was actively routing him to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, suggesting he was on his way to catch his flight.
“I noticed that Google Maps was still open on his cellphone and it was routing him to O’Hare Airport,” the officer wrote in the report.
Authorities also answered one of several calls coming into Satterley’s phone. According to the report, a woman told officers she had spoken with him earlier that afternoon and that he planned to stop at CAVA for lunch before heading to the airport.
She added that he’d been traveling around the United States for about three weeks for wrestling and had been in the Chicago area since either September 24 or 25. His return flight to the United Kingdom had reportedly been delayed and was scheduled to leave at around 3:30 p.m. The report also notes investigators did not find any obvious signs of trauma or suspicious circumstances inside the vehicle.
“There were not any obviously suspicious marks upon Satterley nor circumstances within the vehicle.”
An official cause of death has still not been released. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office previously confirmed that an initial autopsy had been completed, with additional testing still underway before a final determination is made.
The report doesn’t answer the biggest question surrounding Satterley’s death, but it does fill in more of the timeline leading up to it. Authorities have continued to say there were no immediate signs of foul play, and for now, everyone is still waiting for the medical examiner to determine his official cause of death.
