PJ Black, formerly known as Justin Gabriel during his WWE days, is currently undergoing recovery following a serious injury. Black, who last wrestled at the ROH tapings on May 30th, has been active on the independent wrestling scene and even made a return to IMPACT during their October 2022 tapings.

During a recent interview on Developmentally Speaking with Bryan Asbury, Black provided an update on his condition, noting that this injury is the worst he’s experienced in his 27-year wrestling career.

“I’m doing fantastic. Just going through some heavy recovery stuff, but other than that, I’m alright. This is probably the worst injury I’ve ever had. I’ve been wrestling for 27 years. This is the first time I’ve been injured in the ring, and it’s gonna be about six months or so, so we’ll see how that goes. I just got to put the time in,” Black shared.

Although PJ Black did not go into specifics about the injury, it’s clear that his recovery process is ongoing. Further details regarding the nature of the injury remain unknown at this time.
