MVP has seen plenty of crazy things during his wrestling career, but one drunken night involving two multi-time WWE Champions apparently crossed a line even for him.
While speaking on Marking Out with MVP and Dwayne Sees, MVP was asked about the wildest thing he ever witnessed while traveling as a professional wrestler. He immediately warned that there are stories from the road he probably should never tell, but decided to share one without exposing the identities of the wrestlers involved. MVP made it clear from the start that these weren’t random members of the WWE roster. According to him, both men involved were multi-time WWE Champions and the kind of names he considers first-ballot Hall of Famers.
“I’m not going to tell you the names involved because that’s just not cool, but I will tell you that it involves two multi-time WWE Champions.”
The incident happened while WWE talent were on tour and drinking heavily. MVP said plenty of whiskey was going around, and one of the unnamed champions eventually drank so much that he passed out.
“There was lots of whiskey being consumed. I’m going to say that during my time on SmackDown, I easily took two, three years off my life just in liquor consumption.”
MVP then explained that one of the multi-time WWE Champions was completely knocked out from the alcohol. That’s when things got completely out of hand. MVP said another multi-time WWE Champion decided to pull a prank on the sleeping wrestler by putting his exposed groin directly on the man’s forehead. MVP described the second wrestler as another first-ballot Hall of Fame-level name.
“One multi-time WWE Champion, he consumed so much liquor that he passed out.”
“Another multi-time WWE Champion, first-ballot Hall of Famer again, thought that it would be a good idea while this guy was snoring to place his tea bag directly on the forehead of the other sleeping multi-time WWE Champion.”
MVP wanted absolutely nothing to do with what was happening. Once he saw the prank unfold, he decided it was time to get out of there.
“At that point, I looked and I said, ‘All right, y’all play ways I don’t play. I’m gonna make my exit. I’m out of here. I want no parts of this.’ And I left.”
There’s no question in MVP’s mind that the story happened. He said he witnessed it himself and noted there were other people around who saw the same thing. MVP also isn’t planning to expose either WWE star. He knows both men could easily figure out that he told the story, but he said naming them would cross a line.
“But I saw it. It happened. There were other people present who saw it happen.”
“If the two individuals who engaged in this behavior see this video, they both got my number. They both could call me. I’m not going to put your names out there because that’s not my business.”
The wrestler on the receiving end eventually found out what happened while he was passed out. MVP recalled people telling him about it afterward, but despite the nature of the prank, nobody ended up throwing punches.
“The one who was the recipient, who was sleeping, of the Earl Grey bag, he was told about it. Everybody, ‘Hey, you know what happened to you last night?’ Nobody died. Nobody got punched in the face. Nobody. It was just okay. That’s how they play, dog.”
MVP has spent decades around WWE locker rooms and wrestling road crews, so it takes quite a story for him to call something one of the wildest things he’s ever witnessed. He still isn’t naming the two former WWE Champions involved, meaning fans are probably going to be guessing about this one for a long time.
