Piper Niven is clearing things up after fans became worried about her in-ring future following her neck surgery.
A fan took to Twitter after watching Piper’s stream and reacted to the possibility that she may not be able to wrestle again after her injury. The fan thanked Niven for her kindness over the years and referenced both Slaygent and Doudrop while showing appreciation for her career.
“After watching Piper’s stream yesterday and knowing she potentially can’t wrestle again, I just want to say thank you piper for being the amazing human being you are and the years of kindness you have shown! Slaygent &Doudrop will live on❤️ cheers to the memories @PiperNivenWWE”
Piper responded directly and made it clear that fans should not write her off just yet. At the same time, she was honest about the reality of her situation, saying her recovery will take a long time and that there is still a possibility she may not return to the ring at all.
“Don’t count me out just yet chick, just letting people know that it will be a long time and maybe possibly not at all so we don’t have to answer the same question 50 times a stream 😉 x”
Niven has been away from WWE television since August 2025, when she last wrestled Charlotte Flair on SmackDown in Dublin. She recently revealed she underwent neck surgery in California and joked about having an anterior discectomy, a serious procedure involving the removal of a damaged disc in the neck. She also admitted the past eight months were filled with pain and heartbreak, but said she woke up from surgery already feeling better.
The update makes things clearer without fully answering what comes next. Piper is not announcing retirement, but she is also not pretending this is a quick recovery. For now, her WWE future remains uncertain, and fans may have to wait a long time before knowing whether she can safely return.
