Penta just turned a last-minute opportunity into a ticket to Money in the Bank. During the WWE RAW episode for September 21 2026, Penta was thrown into the men’s Money in the Bank qualifying match as a replacement for Solo Sikoa and walked out with the biggest win of the night.
The match was originally supposed to feature Solo Sikoa against Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio, but those plans got blown up after The 946 attacked Solo in the parking lot, stuffed him into an SUV and drove away. Adam Pearce then came out before the main event and announced that WWE was sticking with a Triple Threat Match, with Penta taking Solo’s spot.
Penta wasted no time making the most of it. He and Dragon Lee initially teamed up against Dominik before the match quickly turned into a free-for-all, with all three men unloading on each other and repeatedly breaking up near falls.
Dominik came dangerously close to stealing the whole thing after hitting Lee with a 619 and later connecting with a Frog Splash on Penta. Penta got his knees up, however, and the match kept rolling as all three men threw everything they had at each other.
Then Dominik tried getting cute. He exposed the turnbuckle while arguing with the referee, but that move came back to bite him when Penta sent him crashing into the exposed steel. Penta immediately followed it up with a springboard Mexican Destroyer and scored the three-count, officially punching his ticket to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
That is a hell of a turnaround for Penta, who wasn’t even supposed to be in the match when RAW started. He went from being an emergency replacement to leaving the show one step closer to a guaranteed World Championship opportunity.
