Paul Walter Hauser hasn’t disappeared from wrestling. He’s just busy in Hollywood.
The actor and wrestler took to Twitter on June 1, 2026, after a fan asked if he was still actively wrestling and whether MLW ever travels to New England. Hauser explained that he is still part of the wrestling world, but he is currently on hiatus because of his acting schedule.
“Actively wrestling but on hiatus while I shoot 2 movies and a TV show.”
That clears up why fans haven’t seen much from him lately. Hauser is not done wrestling, but filming two movies and a TV show has put his in-ring work on pause for now. He also answered the MLW part of the question, saying the promotion hasn’t really run New England and that New York City may have been the closest stop.
“MLW hasn’t gone to New England really. Closest has been NYC, I think?”
Hauser has been juggling both careers, and right now, the acting side is keeping him tied up. Still, his response makes it clear that this is a break, not an exit from wrestling.
