Paul Heyman couldn’t resist taking a shot at CM Punk after being asked about the Undisputed WWE Champion’s sneaker obsession—and his answer was exactly what you’d expect.
During an appearance on Complex, Heyman was reminded that Punk has previously said his routine in every new city is grabbing a coffee, hitting the gym, and then spending time searching for local sneaker stores. Before answering, Heyman jokingly accused the interviewer of setting him up.
“Did somebody put you up to this?”
When he was told it was simply part of the interview, Heyman fired back with another sarcastic remark: “Oh, good. Keep going. You made a serious vocational error.” Once the conversation returned to Punk’s sneaker habit, Heyman finally gave his real answer—and didn’t hold back.
“Yes. As a monumental waste of his time.”
Punk has never hidden his love for sneakers, but if Heyman’s opinion is anything to go by, he’d apparently rather see the WWE Champion spend that time doing just about anything else.
