PAC’s wife has broken her silence following the AEW star’s death, sharing a devastating message about the life they built together and the future they were supposed to have.
AEW announced on September 27 that Benjamin Satterley, known to wrestling fans as PAC and formerly Neville in WWE, had passed away at the age of 40. AEW remembered Satterley as a wrestler whose career took him around the world and included multiple championships after he joined the company in 2019.
On Monday, Satterley’s wife, Natalie, shared an intensely personal tribute to her husband, looking back on more than two decades together. She explained that their relationship started as a friendship 21 years ago before they fell in love two years later and eventually married 11 years ago.
“Thank you for our beautiful life darling. Twenty one years ago we became friends, nineteen years ago we fell in love and eleven years ago we were married. Two souls entwined in one; my best friend and better half.”
Natalie then described just how much PAC had worked toward building a future for the two of them, making the sudden loss even harder to process.
“You always worked so incredibly hard to ensure we would have a great life together, both now and once you had retired. The cruelty of having all of our future hopes and dreams snatched away will never feel real.”
The most heartbreaking part of the message came when she listed all of the completely ordinary things Satterley had been planning to do once he got home. There were no huge plans or wrestling milestones on the list. He wanted to play basketball with his friends, put together a new home gym, go on autumn walks with Wilfie, eat pizza on his cheat day, attend a match and see comedian Sam Campbell live.
“You were so excited to get home to us, you were going to shoot hoops all week with your best mates, we were going to set up your new home gym and take Wilfie for some autumnal walks, have pizza at Rudy’s on your cheat day, go to the match, see Sam Campbell live.”
Natalie said those plans have left everyone around PAC still struggling with the feeling that he could simply walk back through the door at any moment.
“We’re all just waiting for you to walk through the door again darling, and the idea that will never happen is beyond comprehension.”
She also revealed that more than two weeks had passed since the last time they spoke, something she said still didn’t feel real as she tried to put her grief into words. Natalie ended her message by saying the family will do everything possible to get through what she described as a nightmare, while making it clear that PAC’s absence will be felt constantly.
“I can’t believe it’s been over two weeks already since we last spoke, I can’t believe I’m making this post.”
“We will try our hardest to get through this nightmare and look after each other as I know that’s what you would want, but we will miss you every minute, of every hour, of every day. Love you eternally pet ❤️”
The wrestling world has spent the weeks since PAC’s death sharing memories of the man behind the character. WWE stars including Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Penta, William Regal and Tyson Kidd have all spoken about Satterley and the impact he had on their lives and careers.
Cody Rhodes said PAC was more talented than “99%” of professional wrestlers, while Sami Zayn became emotional remembering a friendship that stretched back roughly 20 years. Penta also shared an emotional message for his former Death Triangle partner, telling PAC he would always remain part of the Lucha Brothers’ family.
For all the championship wins, incredible matches and unforgettable moments PAC gave wrestling fans, Natalie’s message cuts through all of that. Away from the ring, Benjamin Satterley was a husband who was supposed to come home, see his friends, walk his dog, eat pizza and keep building the life he had spent years working toward. That is the part of this loss that hits hardest.
