Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair are getting some Hollywood company for their upcoming interview, and the mystery guest has finally been revealed. Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., is joining the two WWE stars for a special sit-down with Paul Heyman’s son, Jacob Heyman.
Jackson confirmed the news on Monday, October 19, revealing that he’ll be part of The Roundtable, which premieres Wednesday, October 21, on Heyman Hustle TV. The actor made the announcement in an Instagram post shared with the platform, joking that fans probably weren’t expecting him to be the surprise guest. And naturally, he couldn’t resist calling himself the heel of the group.
“I know what you’re thinking. ‘There’s no way…’ That’s right folks Wednesday October 21st you will be able to catch the roundtable convo between @americannightmarecody @charlottewwe @jacob.heyman. And the heel that you love to hate. Me.”
Jackson, who portrayed his father Ice Cube in the 2015 movie Straight Outta Compton, then dropped the jokes and explained how much the opportunity meant to him. He described the conversation as surprisingly personal and even therapeutic.
“All fun aside, this was truly an honor to even be able to sit with Charlotte, Cody, and Jacob. An amazing conversation and look into things from their perspective. And honestly very therapeutic. I’m so grateful to everyone involved and my friends over at @heymanhustletv for even thinking of ya guy. You will not wanna miss this.”
Jacob Heyman also jumped into the comments to show his appreciation for Jackson joining the discussion.
“It was an absolute honor to have you.”
The announcement ends the mystery that started Friday when Charlotte Flair revealed that she and Cody Rhodes would be sitting down with Jacob Heyman alongside an unnamed special guest. Heyman Hustle TV had already started teasing the project on October 8, asking why The Roundtable would show a side of Cody Rhodes that fans had never seen before.
Now that Jackson has been revealed, there’s an interesting connection between everyone at the table. Cody is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair, Jacob is the son of Paul Heyman, and Jackson is the son of rap legend Ice Cube. That’s four people who know a thing or two about growing up with famous fathers.
The interview also comes as Cody has been opening up about his life outside the ring. He recently admitted that he’s become increasingly isolated from the WWE locker room, while Charlotte has continued carving out her own legacy beyond her father’s legendary wrestling career.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see what these four discussed. Heyman Hustle TV is scheduled to release the official trailer on Monday, October 19, at 6:45 PM ET, with the complete episode premiering Wednesday, October 21.
