The June 15 episode of WWE RAW saw the red brand continue their way toward Night of Champions. The King of the Ring tournament carried on, as everyone wants a shot at the championship at SummerSlam as the prize.
The 2026 King of the Ring tournament has already produced a few surprises and some standout performances. On the RAW side of the bracket, Oba Femi powered past Solo Sikoa and then picked up another big win over Dominik Mysterio to secure his place in the semifinals.
The other side of the bracket has been just as competitive. Je’Von Evans scored a victory over Seth Rollins in one of the tournament’s biggest upsets, while Jey Uso advanced by defeating LA Knight. That sets up a semifinal match between Evans and Uso, with a spot in the King of the Ring Finals on the line.
Dominik Mysterio and Oba Femi finally threw down tonight on RAW. This was a match that Dom had been anticipating and dreading at the same time in recent memory.
This match was the main event of the night. It also got started slow as Dominik Mysterio did everything he could to escape Oba Femi’s grasp. Fans were not happy about how Dom acted as they chanted, “Oba’s gonna kill you.” This was a mental game that Dom played against Oba, but The Ruler just waited for his chance.
Oba Femi caught Dominik Mysterio as he tried to dive onto him, and then he tossed Dom over the announce table. Dom hid the timekeeper’s bell hammer into his boot as Oba Femi threw him back in. JD McDonagh distracted Femi, and then Dom hit a low blow and two 6-1-9 moves with the hammer in his boot, and then he nailed a frog splash for not even a one count.
JD McDonagh got in the ring too, and he caught a double chokeslam from Oba. Then Femi started running all over the ring like a freight train. Dom got tossed around the ring, and he ate a Fall From Grace to lose the match. That also put Oba Femi in the finals of the 2026 King of the Ring tournament.
After the match, Oba took the microphone, and he called out Brock Lesnar. He was surprised that Brock didn’t show up tonight. Then he rattled off a bunch of nicknames that he has for himself, but then he asked how Brock Lesnar will be remembered. He said that Lesnar will just be the man who ran from Oba Femi. Only time will tell how that turns out for The Ruler.
