Nyla Rose hasn’t been seen on AEW television in over a year—and apparently, no one in the company knows why.
During his December 14, 2025 Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the possibility of Nyla Rose returning to TV after being name-dropped by Athena on ROH. But his response opened the floodgates to a much deeper issue within AEW’s talent management.
“I don’t know that Nyla knows why she hasn’t been on TV for a year. I don’t know why she hasn’t been. People that I talk to in the company don’t know why.”
Sean didn’t stop there. He lumped Nyla’s case in with others like Britt Baker adn Scorpio Sky—names that have all seemingly been shelved without explanation, despite being healthy or previously featured stars.
“This is one of the biggest criticisms I have of AEW — is that people will just be pulled from TV and just forgotten.”
Nyla’s last match on AEW television? Rampage, back in November 2024. Since then, she’s wrestled about a dozen times outside AEW, but not once on Dynamite or Collision.
AEW has long prided itself on being more talent-friendly and communicative than WWE, but this growing list of stars being iced out—without injuries, controversies, or creative closure—has fans scratching their heads.
Will Nyla Rose return soon? Will AEW ever address her status? Or is she just another name quietly collecting a check while being benched for reasons no one can explain AEW hasn’t commented—but this silence is starting to speak volumes.
