The AEW star opened up about the situation during an appearance on Jasmin St. Claire’s Off the Rails podcast, although she wasn’t ready to give away exactly where those talks might lead. St. Clair brought up Maple Leaf Pro while discussing other wrestling opportunities available to Rose and asked whether the promotion had approached her. Rose confirmed there has been communication but made it clear she doesn’t want to get ahead of herself.
“Thank you. Thank you. We’ve, we’ve, we’ve been talking a little bit. We’ve been talking a little bit. So, can’t—I don’t want to say anything. I don’t want to jinx anything, jinx any of the talks, but like there, there’s some talks going on.”
Rose didn’t say whether a deal has been reached, when she could potentially appear, or what kind of role has been discussed. For now, the only thing she was willing to confirm is that Maple Leaf Pro and Rose have been talking.
That makes this one worth watching, especially since Rose has continued working outside AEW while remaining part of Tony Khan’s roster. She has also been open about taking dates elsewhere and keeping busy when opportunities line up.
Nyla Rose clearly isn’t ready to announce anything with Maple Leaf Pro just yet, but the door is absolutely open. If those conversations turn into an actual booking, fans could be seeing the former AEW Women’s World Champion pop up in another promotion sooner rather than later.
