WWE NXT returns with a special episode live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, featuring the fallout from Halloween Havoc, two championship matches, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, and major appearances from John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk.
The NXT Championship will be on the line as Grayson Waller defends against CM Punk. Waller retained his title against Tony D’Angelo at Halloween Havoc after using a crowbar while the referee was down. However, his celebration was cut short when Punk appeared in a video to challenge him for the championship. Punk will now compete inside an NXT ring for the first time in more than 16 years, with an opportunity to capture the brand’s top championship.
Kelani Jordan will also defend the NXT Women’s Championship against a mystery opponent. Jordan successfully retained her title against Wren Sinclair at Halloween Havoc, but NXT General Manager Robert Stone informed her that another championship defense was scheduled for this week. With her challenger still unknown, Jordan will have to prepare for an unexpected opponent.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will conclude as Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno face Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in the tournament final. Both teams have defeated championship-caliber opponents to reach this stage, and Cody Rhodes will be on hand to present the Dusty Cup to the winners in honor of his father.
Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox will settle their increasingly personal rivalry in an Unsanctioned Match, with UFC star Michael Chandler serving as the special guest referee. Their feud has escalated through backstage attacks and personal threats, setting the stage for a confrontation without the usual restrictions.
Six-man tag team action will also take place as Chad Gable, Rey Fenix, and Dragon Lee face The Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes. The NXT North American Champion and NXT Tag Team Champions will look to bounce back after Baylor and Smokes were eliminated from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
John Cena is also scheduled to make a special appearance after returning to WWE RAW earlier this week. With the inaugural John Cena Classic approaching in December, Cena’s appearance could provide more information about the upcoming tournament.
The show kicks off at 8:00 PM ET on The CW Network and is available for international fans on streaming platforms like Netflix. Ringside News will provide live, match-by-match updates and highlights throughout the night.
