Nikkita Lyons may be getting positive reviews inside WWE, but fans probably shouldn’t expect to see her on RAW anytime soon.

There was recently talk that Lyons could be moving up from NXT to the main roster this summer. The rumor came from Rope Break/TRNBCKL Gold and claimed that Lyons had been mentioned for a possible call-up, with some suggesting she could land on Monday Night RAW. Now, that rumor is being pushed back.

According to Cory Hays of False Finish, WWE officials have been impressed with Lyons since her return from injury, but she is not expected to move to the main roster in the foreseeable future. Instead, Lyons is expected to continue working in both EVOLVE and NXT.

That means WWE still appears to be taking its time with her. Lyons has dealt with injuries during her run, and while the company may like what she has shown since returning, the latest word is that a main roster jump is not currently in the cards.

Lyons has been with WWE for years now, with her in-ring debut taking place on the December 31, 2021 episode of 205 Live. Since then, she has remained one of the more recognizable names tied to NXT, even with injury setbacks slowing her momentum.

For now, the main roster rumor looks premature. WWE may be impressed with Nikkita Lyons, but she is staying in the developmental mix for the time being.

What do you think about WWE keeping Nikkita Lyons in NXT and EVOLVE instead of calling her up to the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
