Nikki Bella Explains Why She Won’t Bring a New Boyfriend Home for Thanksgiving

Nikki Bella might be single, but that doesn’t mean she’s about to grab some random guy and bring him home for Thanksgiving. In fact, she has a pretty firm rule about when a man gets anywhere near the family holiday table.

Speaking on the October 30 edition of The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki brought up how people keep trying to throw men her way. She said it even happened at a recent Philadelphia Eagles game, where people apparently decided she’d been single long enough.

“By the way, does it shock you when I go to places and how people just throw men at me? I’m thinking of the Eagles game, how they’re like, ‘Oh, here, Nikki.’ They’re thinking, ‘Come on, girl, it’s been a long time.’”

Naturally, Brie took that as an opportunity to start digging into Nikki’s holiday plans. She asked whether her sister might have some guy lined up for Thanksgiving, but Nikki shut that down immediately.

“No. I’m bringing Matteo to Thanksgiving.”

Brie pointed out that the holidays are usually when people start feeling lonely and looking for somebody. Nikki clearly doesn’t operate that way, because even if she met the perfect guy right now, he still wouldn’t be getting a Thanksgiving invite.

“I would never meet someone in October and go to their Thanksgiving.”

And apparently Christmas is off the table too. Nikki couldn’t imagine meeting someone and then immediately sitting around with his entire family pretending that wasn’t awkward as hell.

“I wouldn’t even go to their Christmas. No way. You want to sit around the table of a family you don’t know, saying what you’re grateful for?”

She might make an exception for Friendsgiving, but actual Thanksgiving is another story. Nikki sees that as way more personal and basically a full-blown family reunion.

“Friendsgiving, maybe, but not Thanksgiving. It’s very family reunion.”

So how long does a guy actually have to survive before Nikki brings him home for Thanksgiving? Apparently six months is the sweet spot. Nikki explained that showing up together for Thanksgiving basically tells the family that this thing is serious. She understands some couples fall hard after three months, but she’d rather give it twice that long before making the holiday introduction.

“I feel like if you’re going to show up to a Thanksgiving, that’s kind of being like, official. This is serious. This is official. I feel like it has to be at least, minimum, six months. I get three months, maybe people kind of fall hard, but I’d be like six months out.”

Brie was a little more adventurous about the whole thing and joked that watching somebody else’s family drama could actually be entertaining. Nikki wasn’t quite as excited about potentially getting trapped in somebody’s house while their relatives started fighting. When they tried to remember Nikki’s own Thanksgiving history, she couldn’t think of a time she’d spent the holiday with somebody unless things were already seriously serious. She’s apparently willing to make questionable decisions elsewhere — just not around the turkey.

“I’ve definitely put myself in awkward situations, but not with holidays.”

Brie still couldn’t resist trying to play matchmaker later in the episode and announced that they were looking for somebody Nikki could date. Nikki immediately told her to knock it off before giving the simplest possible update on her plans.

“No, stop that! I’m spending the holidays solo.”

Well, solo when it comes to men anyway. Nikki quickly clarified that she’ll have plenty of family around, so she’s not exactly planning some sad Thanksgiving dinner by herself.

“I know, not at all. There’s so much family. Meaning, like, dude-wise. Okay, solo YOLO.”

That tracks with what Nikki was saying earlier this month when Brie tried to advertise her as single and Nikki fired back that she wasn’t “for sale.” Whether she’s quietly dating somebody right now is another question entirely, but one thing seems settled — nobody new is getting a seat at Nikki Bella’s Thanksgiving table this year.
