Nikki Bella may be single, but that doesn’t mean she’s looking for someone to start shopping around for her next boyfriend. The WWE Hall of Famer made that hilariously clear after Brie Bella announced her relationship status and immediately tried to play matchmaker.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, the sisters were talking with Gillie and Wallo about some of the predictable pickup lines they’ve heard because of their wrestling careers. When the conversation turned to whether either Bella had actually been interested in someone who tried the classic “Do you want to wrestle?” approach, Brie pointed out that Nikki still hasn’t met that person. That was all Brie needed before announcing that her sister was available and asking whether their guests knew anybody.
“Damn. She’s single. You guys have any single friends?”
Nikki immediately pumped the brakes on that idea. She might be single, but she definitely wasn’t asking Brie to start taking applications on her behalf.
“Okay, I’m not, like, for sale.”
The timing made the exchange even funnier considering what had happened to the sisters the previous night. Nikki and Brie had already revealed that a man repeatedly approached them during dinner at their hotel, despite security stepping in several times. Brie joked that Nikki was the one who could give the guy a chance since she’s the single twin.
“That’s why she was on the dumb shit last night. She was like, ‘Go ahead. You got a chance with her.’”
Nikki wanted absolutely no part of that suggestion. Being single was one thing, but that particular guy definitely wasn’t making the cut.
“Ew. Try — sick. Not that one. And that’s what bothered me about her — is she immediately saw who the single twin was.”
Apparently, the man had chosen to sit next to Nikki during the encounter, which made her wonder how he’d figured out which sister was single: “So he sat next to me.” Nikki also admitted that she might initially entertain someone who approaches her, but that doesn’t mean they’re getting unlimited time to make an impression. Once somebody crosses a line, she’s perfectly comfortable shutting the whole thing down.
“No, that’s crazy. That’s crazy. And I should’ve been like, ‘Yeah,’ but I’m also the first one to, like, tell someone, like, ‘Bye,’ or, like, be also, like, very confrontational too. Like, I don’t care. Like, I’ll entertain, and then I’ll be like, ‘Go now.’ You know what I mean? Which is so rude. I just wanna, like, just nip it from the beginning.”
So yes, Nikki is single, but Brie probably shouldn’t start running a matchmaking service just yet. Nikki’s “not for sale” response made it pretty clear that being available doesn’t mean she’s looking for just anybody.
