If anyone was wondering whether Nikki Bella has jumped back into the dating pool, her answer couldn’t have been much clearer: She hasn’t.
Speaking with Us Weekly ahead of WWE SummerSlam, the WWE Hall of Famer laughed off the idea that she’s been living some exciting single life, joking that it’s actually been the complete opposite.
“I’m pretty much like a nun at this point. Super celibate. I should just put on a ring. I wish I was out there getting wild. I just don’t have energy for it.”
Brie Bella revealed she’s repeatedly tried to set Nikki up on dates, but every attempt runs into the same problem—Nikki simply has too much going on to make room for romance.
“She’s too busy, and I get it,” Brie explained. “Matteo is her world right now. She’s like, ‘I have no time between being on the road, our wine company and our podcast, and then Matteo.'”
Even when Nikki finally gets a rare night off, dating isn’t exactly high on her to-do list. According to Brie, Nikki would rather stay home than get dressed up for dinner with someone she barely knows.
“If she has a free night, she wants to Netflix and chill. She’s like, ‘I don’t want to go on a date. I don’t have to dress up.'”
The comments paint a much different picture than the glamorous dating life many fans might expect from one of WWE’s biggest stars, but they also line up with what Nikki has been saying for months.
Earlier this year, she insisted finding a relationship wasn’t her priority, explaining that most of her attention was going toward raising Matteo and growing her business ventures instead of chasing romance. She later admitted that being single at 42 still brings moments of insecurity, especially when she thinks about dating again, but made it clear she’s learned to remind herself that the right person will appreciate her for who she is.
For now, though, it doesn’t sound like Nikki is in any rush to test that theory. Between motherhood, business, WWE appearances and everything else on her plate, she seems perfectly happy trading first dates for a quiet night on the couch.
