Nikki Bella’s WWE future may not be as final as it once sounded, as she noted that her future depends on how her body feels once her contract expires.
The Bella Twins previously revealed that they signed a two-year WWE deal starting at the 2026 Royal Rumble, with Nikki suggesting that this run could serve as their final chapter. She even said she wanted proper closure when the time came to walk away.
However, in a new interview with Casino Guru, Nikki made it clear that she is not fully closing the door on wrestling after her current WWE contract expires. According to Nikki, it will come down to how her body feels and whether she believes she can still perform at the right level.
“Never say never. Honestly, it’s all going to depend on my body, how I feel I look in the ring compared to others. I’m the most aware person ever, and I don’t ever want to take spots from people. I am there to elevate, bring equity, and if I feel like I can’t hang, guess what? I’m not going to go hang. I’m not going to go pretend I can. We’ll see how I am at that point in life.”
The WWE Hall of Famer also said she wants to use the remaining time on her deal to improve inside the ring and get involved in a meaningful storyline. She specifically said she would love to work as a heel again.
“If it’s a year and a half, I want my wrestling to be better and be at top tier. Now I don’t have that, and I know I can get it there. I want a meaningful story. I’d love to be a heel. I just want to have that type of creative, that story that we used to have. I need that.”
This is a notable change from Nikki’s earlier comments on The Nikki & Brie Show, where she said the two-year WWE deal felt like the end for her and Brie. At the time, she said she wanted a real retirement moment.
“I don’t think you and I will ever get that last retirement moment like John or AJ Styles got, but I would love to have that because I do know that — you know, the contract we signed — we signed a two-year deal starting at the Royal Rumble. From the talks you and I have had, I know that’s it, that will be the end for us. I need that closure on things, so I’d love to put my kicks, snapbacks, and jersey in the ring and get that final bow.”
For now, Nikki Bella still has more than a year left on her WWE deal, and she clearly wants to make the most of it. Whether this run ends with a final goodbye or leads to more matches will depend on how she feels physically when the contract is up.
Nikki Bella may still be preparing for closure, but she is not ruling anything out. If her body holds up and WWE gives her the right story, fans could see more from the Hall of Famer beyond her current deal.
