Nikki Bella and LA Knight’s flirty WWE WhatsApp exchange apparently didn’t go unnoticed by Brie Bella. After watching her sister trade some pretty playful messages with Knight, Brie decided to call Nikki out for exactly what she thought was happening.
During The Nikki & Brie Show, the sisters discussed their recent WWE WhatsApp appearance alongside LA Knight and Jesser. Brie was explaining how chaotic the conversation became with messages, GIFs and reactions flying everywhere before the subject eventually shifted toward Nikki.
Brie recalled answering a question about which NFL player she thought would be good in WWE, picking George Kittle because of his love for wrestling and personality. She was confused when somebody responded with a grandma emoji and wondered whether her answer had somehow made her look out of touch.
“I wrote a comment. Someone asked, ‘Who do you think would be a good pro football player to be in WWE?’ I had to think about it. It took me a little bit, and then I finally put my response. I was like, ‘Oh, George Kittle. He loves wrestling and has a great personality.’
The first emoji I saw someone throw on that was a grandma. And I’m like, ‘What the—?’ And then you see a lot more. But I’m like, ‘Do I do all that like a grandma? Was someone saying, “Oh, that wasn’t cool”?’”
Nikki quickly pointed out that her sister may have misunderstood the question entirely. According to Nikki, they were actually being asked which NFL player they would want to wrestle.
“Well, I think what they were asking; what they asked is who would you wanna take on, right?”
Brie wasn’t convinced that was what she had read. That only gave Nikki another opportunity to explain why she had personally chosen Emmitt Smith.
“No, I think—Yes. The question was like, what NFL player, dead or alive, would you wanna have a match against? That’s why I said Emmitt Smith, because I go, ‘I would love to know the feeling of beating a Cowboy.’”
After a little more arguing over the question, Brie eventually turned the conversation toward something much juicier. She called out Nikki for flirting with LA Knight during the WhatsApp chat and joked that their interaction was the part that ended up getting attention.
“Oh, whatever. You know, I couldn’t even….it was about who would you want. Between you and LA Knight flirting on there, I don’t know which went viral.”
Nikki immediately fired back that Brie and the others were the ones who went viral, saying, “You guys did.” Brie wasn’t letting her sister escape that easily, though, and pointed directly at how much flirting had been going on.
“You did a lot of flirting on the WhatsApp.”
Nikki didn’t exactly deny it. Instead, she pointed out that both she and Knight are single, so she apparently doesn’t see much of a problem with having a little fun.
“And so we’re both single, so yeah, who cares?”
Brie apparently couldn’t argue with that, although she did have one final assessment of watching the whole thing unfold.
“I just….it was very entertaining.”
Brie was talking about the exchange where Knight told Nikki, “I require cake. You got any?” Nikki played right along instead of shutting him down, replying, “Depends on what kind of cake you like…lol,” along with a lips emoji.
Nikki’s response still doesn’t mean there’s anything romantic actually happening between the two, but she certainly wasn’t embarrassed about the flirting either. Brie put her on the spot, Nikki basically shrugged and pointed out they’re both single, and that probably isn’t going to make fans any less curious the next time those two end up talking.
