New Level isn’t locked inside the AEW bubble. After making their debut at AEW All In, Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston revealed that they are free to take wrestling bookings around the world.
Creed and Kingston immediately made an impact by aligning with Swerve Strickland and capturing the AEW World Trios Championships. The former WWE stars spent years known as The New Day, but their move to AEW has opened doors that weren’t available to them before. The freedom is especially new for Kingston, who had spent his entire major wrestling career under the WWE banner. Creed also hadn’t worked outside WWE since joining the company in 2010.
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, New Level was asked whether their AEW deal allows them to accept bookings elsewhere. Creed confirmed that they can move around and chase matches outside the company.
“We can jump around and do some other things. There are a lot of opportunities to go to other places and wrestle people. The fact that tag team wrestling is all across the world is something that is really exciting to us.”
Kingston is still adjusting to having that level of control over his career. He said nothing is off the table, pointing to the outside opportunities already available to other members of the AEW roster.
“Everything is on the table. I’m still getting used to being able to have so much freedom and do what we want to do. There are opportunities aplenty. As you see with a lot of AEW wrestlers doing all kinds of things on the roster and internationally as well. Kaun was wrestling as champion in Africa. The possibilities are endless. It’s very exciting.”
New Level already walked into AEW and grabbed championship gold on their first night. Now Creed and Kingston can take those titles—and their tag team—to promotions around the world if the right opportunity lands in front of them.
