Some wrestling fans will do anything for engagement, and now Netflix is getting dragged into one of the dumbest fake stories of the week.
A post started making the rounds claiming that Netflix somehow mistook Payback for Ryback on its WWE listing. The image showed Roman Reigns on the screen, but the title was changed to “Ryback,” making it look like Netflix had completely botched the WWE Classics Collection. Of course, that would have been hilarious if it was real. It was not.

Ringside News staff checked the actual Netflix listing, and the real page still says WWE Payback. Roman Reigns is featured on the graphic, but Netflix did not label him as Ryback. The viral image was altered to make it look that way.
That did not stop people from falling for it. The fake post even tried to spin it into a joke about Ryback still being the bigger star than Roman Reigns, despite being gone from WWE for years.
The whole thing appears to be nothing more than a cheap engagement play. Someone edited the word Payback into Ryback, posted it like Netflix made a real mistake, and watched fans react before checking anything.
That is where we are in 2026. Fake screenshots, AI edits, and low-effort wrestling bait are enough to get people arguing online over something that never happened. Netflix did not confuse Roman Reigns with Ryback. WWE did not botch the listing. It was just another fake viral post trying to squeeze clicks out of wrestling fans. At least now fans know the truth before this nonsense gets any more mileage.
What do you think about fans making fake wrestling posts just to farm engagement?
