CM Punk and Liv Morgan might be headed for something much bigger than wrestling—and it all traces back to a direct push inside Netflix.

While speaking on BodySlam.net’s podcast with Famous Davis, Nick LoPiccolo explained the connection didn’t happen by accident. After WWE’s massive Netflix deal, he said there was a gap between the company and the streaming giant when it came to knowing which talent could actually be used for film and television.

So he stepped in and made sure the right people got in front of the right executives—including Netflix’s Bella Bajaria. LoPiccolo explained that he actively guided Punk and Morgan to network with top Netflix decision-makers instead of just following WWE’s standard schedule at events.

“So like, again, I’m texting Punk. I’m texting Liv. Like, here’s pictures of the executives. So when you’re meeting them at the Netflix office, don’t go do what WWE wants you to do. Go meet Bella. Go say hi to this person. This is their picture. This is their credits. This is what they do. Go.”

That approach quickly paid off—especially in Morgan’s case, who made a direct impression. From there, LoPiccolo says things escalated behind the scenes in a big way, with Bajaria making it clear what she wanted moving forward.

“So like, you know, Liv gets it. So she goes up to Bella. She’s like, ‘Bella loves me. She took a picture of my WWE title. I spent 45 minutes with her.’ I’m like, you get it?”

“So, you know, we haven’t done a movie yet with Netflix and Bella or I mean with Liv. But Bella has a mandate that she’s told all of her talent, film and television people. I want movies with CM Punk and Liv Morgan.”

That statement flips the conversation entirely. Instead of WWE talent chasing Hollywood opportunities, LoPiccolo is claiming Netflix leadership is now actively pushing for specific WWE names to be used in films. His overall point is that none of this happens automatically. It comes down to visibility, networking, and getting in front of the right people at the right time.

With WWE’s partnership with Netflix continuing to evolve, moments like this could end up shaping how far top talent like Punk and Morgan can go outside the ring.

Do you think CM Punk and Liv Morgan could actually break into movies through Netflix, or is this just early talk that won’t lead anywhere? Let us know your thoughts below.
