TNA Lockdown had some interesting faces in the building before the main card even started. J-Rod, Josh Bishop and former WWE LFG star Pinky Montoya were all spotted in attendance as the August 23 show got underway in Chicago.
A photo circulating online showed all three wrestlers inside Credit Union 1 Arena during the Lockdown pre-show. There’s nothing suggesting they were simply being confused for fans either — these are three active wrestlers with plenty of experience on the independent scene.
J-Rod and Bishop have worked across promotions including JCW, ACW and OVW, while Montoya has continued taking bookings since his stint on WWE LFG, including appearances for CSW and RPW. So they all have a lot of experience already.
There’s no word that any of them are actually booked for Lockdown, and their attendance alone certainly doesn’t mean TNA has signed them. Still, three active wrestlers showing up together at a major TNA pay-per-view is naturally going to get some attention.
Lockdown is already underway with the steel cage surrounding the ring for the entire night. The returning event has brought TNA to Chicago for one of its biggest cards of the year, and apparently J-Rod, Bishop and Montoya wanted to be there for it.
For now, they’re watching Lockdown like everyone else. Whether TNA Wrestling eventually gives any of them a reason to come back on the other side of the barricade is something worth keeping an eye on.
