The Miz has been missing from WWE television, and he knows exactly who he wants to blame. The former WWE Champion pointed the finger at Danhausen for leaving him in rough shape, while Nick Aldis also caught heat for allowing the situation to happen in the first place.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo ahead of SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Miz was asked about his history with Danhausen. He immediately stayed in character and made it clear that he does not consider anything about their feud fun. Miz claimed Danhausen’s actions left him transformed and ultimately pushed off WWE programming.
“I was made into a vegetable. I’ve been made into a zombie for the past four months, and I haven’t been on television in a month because of him.”
Danhausen was not the only person Miz targeted. He also blamed SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis for failing to protect WWE talent and allowing Danhausen to electrocute one of his Superstars.
“I blame Dan, and I blame Nick Aldis. Those are the two people I blame. Nick Aldis allowed a person to electrocute his Superstars.”
Miz then took another shot at Aldis by claiming the general manager became too focused on his own problems with GUNTHER and stopped doing his actual job.
“He’s so busy with GUNTHER that he forgot his job was to be general manager and protect his talent.”
The Miz may have delivered the comments in character, but he made sure Danhausen and Aldis both took the blame for his WWE absence. With Miz already looking for payback, his return could come with unfinished business waiting for both men.
