Mick Foley isn’t done calling out Donald Trump. The WWE Hall of Famer has been taking shots at the President for months, and after the latest controversy involving the White House press corps, he had another message to get off his chest.
Foley took to his Instagram Story after reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico were denied entry to the White House. According to reports, journalists from all three outlets had their White House credentials confiscated after arriving to cover the day’s events, following Trump’s decision to revoke their access. Foley’s response was short, but it didn’t leave much room for interpretation.
“Is there no bottom for our President? This should scare anyone who cares about democracy.”
The move has led to a ton of backlash. Trump said the decision was a response to years of what he considers “fake news” coverage, while critics argue banning news organizations from the White House raises serious concerns about press freedom. Although the outlets can still report on the administration, they no longer have the same White House access they previously had.
If you’ve been following Foley this year, his latest post probably won’t come as much of a surprise. He’s been openly critical of Trump for months, including during a lengthy interview earlier this year where he questioned the President’s leadership, criticized his handling of several issues, and argued that empathy has become undervalued in American politics.
Bottom line: Nothing about this latest post suggests Mick Foley has softened that stance. If anything, the WWE Hall of Famer seems just as willing to weigh in whenever another major political story involving Trump pops up.
