Mercedes Moné does not sound like she is rushing back to WWE for an Alexa Bliss rematch.
Moné posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram from her return to AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday, and one fan used the comments to bring up a familiar opponent from her WWE days. The fan said they wanted to see Moné and Alexa Bliss wrestle again.
“I need you and Alexa Bliss to wrestle again.”
Mercedes kept her answer short and pointed fans somewhere else.
“Go to @youtube.”
That pretty much says it all. Fans hoping to see Mercedes Moné and Alexa Bliss run it back in WWE probably should not hold their breath right now.
Mercedes, who wrestled as Sasha Banks in WWE, last faced Alexa Bliss in a singles match back in May 2020 at the WWE Performance Center during the pandemic era. Moné has also won the last two singles matches between them.
Now Mercedes is back on AEW television, and her response made it clear that anyone looking for that Alexa Bliss match can go watch the old footage instead. Mercedes Moné’s AEW return already has fans talking, but her quick Instagram reply may have shut down at least one WWE dream match for the time being.
