Mercedes Moné can’t even attack Willow Nightingale without somebody asking Sasha Banks to come back to WWE. This time, the CEO heard the plea on AEW Dynamite and had a response waiting after the show.
During the August 12 edition of Dynamite, Mercedes went after Willow ahead of their AEW Women’s Championship match at All In. In the middle of the segment, one fan could clearly be heard calling out to her.
“Sasha, come home! Sasha, we love you!”
Mercedes saw the moment making the rounds and took to Twitter with her own explanation for how a WWE fan apparently found their way into an AEW crowd.
“They always send feds to watch our show!”
It was an obvious little jab at WWE, with Mercedes using “feds” while joking about the fan begging for Sasha Banks to come home. And this certainly isn’t the first time she’s heard it.
Mercedes recently had someone show up in her Instagram comments demanding that she return to WWE: “needa bring yo fine ass back to WWE.” She wasn’t exactly interested, as she said, “imma need your ugly ass to watch AEW.”
Mercedes has been dealing with the same question for months. When another fan previously asked when she would return to WWE, she gave them one possible occasion: “when they induct me into the HOF.” She’s also outright asked fans to stop bringing it up.
“For the love of all of my fans, please don’t start asking me when I’m coming back to ‘you know where.’ I’m in a good mood, I’m in a good place. I’m tired of that question.”
Apparently, telling everyone she’s tired of it hasn’t stopped them. Mercedes was busy making Willow Nightingale’s life miserable on Dynamite, and somebody still found the perfect moment to yell for Sasha Banks to come home. Mercedes’ answer hasn’t changed. She’s in AEW—and now she’s joking that WWE has to send “feds” over just to watch her.
